Psyllium husks come from the outside coat of the seeds of the plant Plantago Ovato. The husk provides a good source of fibre and is good used as part of a cleanse programme. The powder needs to be mixed with water and stirred; please ensure that you take them quickly with sufficient water as they thicken rapidly and turn into a gel. This then expands during the muscular movement of the digestive tract. An average serving of 2tsps/day gives you about x25 days supply.
