General Description :
Solgar Astragalus Root Extract contains Astragalus which ist well known for its benefits in supporting the immune system.
In studies Astragalus has been shown to reduce the incidence and duration of the common cold (typically by up to half).
Astragalus heightens the efficiency of virtually every component of the immune system.
Astragalus can be utilised as a long-term tonic as well as to assist healing and recovery in chronic infection. Saponins are antioxidant compounds contained in Astragalus which may be of benefit to protecting the liver.
Besides its powerful immunostimulant properties, Astragalus may increase tolerance to various stressors and is thus also termed an adaptogenic herb. It also has vasodilatory properties and thus may be of benefit in reducing blood pressure.
All Solgar standardised full potency herbs are combined with a mix of compounds with antioxidant properties to help maintain the herb's freshness, stability and integrity.
Solgar Astragalus Root Extract is suitable for Kosher and Vegetarian diets.
